Coronavirus: NCDC announces 387 new cases, total now 9302

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Thursday, May 29 reported that there are 387 new cases of coronavirus in Nigeria.
The NCDC via its official Twitter account revealed that the new cases are as follows:

"On the 29th of May 2020, 387 new confirmed cases and 2 deaths were recorded in Nigeria
"No new state has reported a case in the last 24 hours.
"Till date, 9302 cases have been confirmed, 2697 cases have been discharged and 261 deaths have been recorded in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory
"The 387 new cases are reported from 14 states- Lagos(254), FCT(29), Jigawa(24), Edo(22), Oyo(15), Rivers(14),Kaduna(11), Borno(6), Kano(3), Plateau(2), Yobe(2), Gombe(2), Bauchi(2), Ondo(1)," NCDC wrote on its website.
Recall that the federal government recently updated its guidelines for the eased lockdown in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Lagos and Ogun states.
The federal ministry of information and culture informed the public of the newly updated guidelines through its Twitter page on Monday, 25.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has unveiled 2 emergency ventilators produced by a team of researchers from the Air Force Research and Development Centre and Air Force Institute of Technology, Kaduna.
The ventilators were produced in partnership with the faculty of veterinary medicine, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
The emergency ventilators, tagged ‘NAF E-Vents’, were unveiled on Wednesday, May 27 by the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, in Kaduna state.
In a related development, the federal government has imposed a fine of N1million on a United Kingdom aircraft impounded last week for undertaking illegal commercial operations in Nigeria during the COVID-19 lockdown.
This was disclosed by the minister of aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, via micro-blogging site, Twitter.
“We caused them to pay and reported their callous misdemeanour to United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority (UK CAA), MFA and the UK High Commission,” the minister tweeted on Sunday, May 24.
