Jesse Lingard, Man United winger, rejects Arsenal move

- Jesse Lingard has a year left on his current contract with Man United

- Poor form has seen him fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford

- Arsenal and Everton are among a list of clubs monitoring his situation at the Manchester club

Man United winger Jesse Lingard is reportedly not prepared to join rivals Arsenal despite being linked with a stunning move to the Emirates.

Lingard has significantly slipped down the pecking order at United after a string of poor performances.

It is understood Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already lost faith in the Englishman and sees him as surplus requirements.

The arrival of Bruno Fernandes has also complicated the 27-year-old's place under the Norwegian manager and he is no longer integral to the first team.

The United academy has since joined forces with controversial agent, Mino Raiola, further fueling speculation he is headed for the exits, with Arsenal among the surprise clubs looking to secure his services.

But Metro UK reports Lingard has no intention of leaving Old Trafford and wants to stay at his boyhood club to fight for his place.

Lingard has just a year left on his current deal with the Manchester club and he is valued at around £30 million.

He has made over 30 appearances this season across all competitions, but just half of those have been in the starting lineup.

Meanwhile, despite Gunners being the leading contenders to sign the England international, they will have to contend with competition from other clubs including AS Roma, Everton and Atletico Madrid.
