Comedian Steve Harvey has come under fire for talking smack about Africa.
Steve posted a throwback clip of an old comedy show with the caption, "I took a trip to Africa a few years back and, trust me, those jungles are scarier than anything I saw in the hood."
African tweeps weren't happy with the caption or the content.
Zaidon wrote, "Africa is not a jungle. Africa is not a country. It's a continent and didn't you say you wanted to buy a house here?"
Nico, from Mzansi, said, "D**n, where in Africa? You had a radio interview last year in South Africa on 5FM. Why didn't you say that s**t about Africa?"
Steve really does appear to lose all sense of geography when it comes to Africa.
Not too long ago, he asked a Kenyan artist to meet him in Botswana or Johannesburg so he could buy a painting.
Steve wrote, "Now I'm looking for you. It would be my honour to have this. What size is it? I'll be in Joburg and Botswana soon. Let's hook up then."
A tweep countered, "Lmao. Steve Harvey is casually telling a Kenyan 'Let's hook up in Joburg or Botswana, not knowing the Kenyan needs a visa to South Africa and a last-minute ticket to Gaborone cost 600 US dollars."
