Australian scientists grow coronavirus in a bid to develop vaccine

In their bid to find a vaccine for the deadly disease, Australian scientists have recorded a medical breakthrough by growing coronavirus in a high-security lab.
The feat was achieved by experts at the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity, who took a sample of the virus from the first patient diagnosed in Australia.
The scientists will now share the virus with the World Health Organisation (WHO).
Legit.ng gathers that once the WHO has the virus, it will be distributed to labs around the world in the hope that a vaccine will be developed in two months.
The Peter Doherty Institute is the second lab to grow the virus after one in China cultivated it last week.
Reacting to the medical breakthrough, Diane Garcia on Facebook said: "So it’s like the flu vaccine you get injected with a strain of the virus! Kinda scary if reactions to the vaccine are bad. I would not want to be injected with Coronavirus! Purpose of vaccines is to build antibody to the virus. I would not want the injection."
Marge Eljen said: "Haven’t they mentioned that maybe it’s from the seafoods? I suggest that they should try to test the water itself and see if it’s contaminated and figure out where exactly it came from. Any bio-hazard chemical leakages..etc."
Geoff Morgan said: "I believe they where already growing the virus and some how it got loose. They want to look good so they make this announcement."
Todd Ellery said: "So China have already grown it in a lab a week ago but refuse to give it to The World Health Organisation to distribute? Something not right there. What are they hiding? Tough penalties should be handed down to those not willing to cooperate and who hide important information about deadly diseases. Shame on you China."
Ely Marasigan said: "Is it true virus was already known since 2015, and was released at wuhan lab? poor snake and bat for getting the blame."
Auriol Hutchins on Facebook said: "Well how amazing is that!!!!! That's where it was developed originally - in a laboratory!!!! With an agenda of course and a great reason to make yet another vaccine!!!! OMG - wake up and see what's going on."
