A former Senate president, Bukola Saraki, has reacted to the demolition of a house belonging to late his late father in Ilorin by the Kwara state government.
Saraki, in a series of tweets on Thursday, January 2, said justice will prevail in a not too distant future over the demolition of the property.
He also commended the people, both young and old, who showed support to his late father and the family over the development.
He said the action of the people showed that the building was more than a physical structure to them.
The former Senate president thanked them for reciprocating the love and affection his father and family have for them.
Meanwhile, hours after the Kwara state government demolished the property belonging to Olushola, the father of ex-Senate president, Bukola Saraki, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described the act as barbaric, wicked, cowardly and a direct recipe for huge crisis in the state.
Legit.ng reported that the party in a statement issued by its national publicity secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, on the evening of Thursday, January 2, accused the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government in the state of witch-hunting the opposition.
The party said it was clear that the action of the state government was borne out of hatred and political intolerance in furtherance of the larger plot by the APC and its administration to intimidate, suppress, hound, crush and silence opposition and dissenting voices in our country, in the bid to foist a siege mentality on the citizenry.
