Ghanaian mum of 2 elated graduates with PhD after 6 years in university

Following a six-year period of hard work and resilience, Felicitas Adu-Acheampong, has graduated with a PhD in Economics from the Wayne State University, USA.

The former student of Yaa Asantewaa Girls Secondary School and alumna of University of Cape Coast, noted via social media that: ‘‘It took me six years to accomplish this.’’

With her recent admirable feat, Dr Felicitas Adu-Acheampong, is set to take up new challenges while impacting lives with the skills and knowledge acquired.

Dr Felicitas Adu-Acheampong expressed appreciation to God for taking her through a journey that has finally yielded results.

''This is the day the Lord has made. To God be the glory, I was was awarded PhD Economics today December 10, 2019. All glory and honor to God. I want to thank my husband and children for standing by me with their support for these past six years,'' Dr Felicitas Adu-Acheampong wrote in a Facebook post.

The accomplished doctor also penned her sincere gratitude to her parents and loved ones, who, according to her, made remarkable contributions to help her attain a PhD in Economics.

She wrote: ''To my parents, siblings and their spouses, I appreciate you. To all the father and mother figures in my life, thanks for helping me get to where I am today. To my loyal friends and loved ones and entire family, I thank and appreciate u all. God bless u all. Looking back, all I can say is God made a way when my back was against the wall, and it looked as if it was over. He stepped in right on time."
