Unknown gunmen kill 400 level student inside exam hall in Kogi state

A 400 level student of the Kogi State University, Anyigba has been shot to dead by unknown gunmen, The Nation reports.

According to the report, the student was in an exam hall when the gunmen invaded the area and gunned him down.

It was gathered that he was shot at the faculty of management sciences, banking and finance department.

The Kogi state police command and the university authorities are yet to confirm the veracity of the report.

Similarly, the managing director of shipping line, Maersk in Lagos, Gildas Tohouo, was on attacked by some gunmen in his Ikoyi residence on Sunday, December 8.

Sources said that gunmen who were allegedly led in by an electrician who is a domestic worker for the MD planned the attack.

Tohouo and his wife who are foreigners, were locked in a separate room as the gunmen forced Mrs Tohouo to transfer some money from her account to theirs before forcing her to drink a substance suspected to be acid.

She was later said to have been suffocated with a pillow which led to her death in the room while her husband was being stabbed and forced to drink the acidic substance.

Meanwhile, unknown gunmen suspected to be bandits, on Monday, November 2 attacked Kukoki community in Kagara local government area of Niger state.

According to an eyewitness, the attack on members of the community claimed the lives of 13 people, just as several other persons sustained injuries.

“Many people are presently leaving Kagara town as there is rumour making the rounds that the bandits are presently on their way to Kagara, to also launch another deadly attack,” the eye witness said.
