- Felix Correia has signed for Manchester City from Sporting Lisbon
- The 18-year-old winger is expected to join for an initial £3.2m fee
- Correia impressed for Portugal Under-19s at last month's European Championships
Felix Correia, Sporting Lisbon winger, has joined Premier League champions Manchester City.
The Portuguese club confirmed the departure of 18-year-old winger Felix Correia on its official Twitter handle.
According to Daily Mail report, the Premier League champions splashed out about £3.2m up front for the winger, who was repeatedly linked with Europe's top clubs this summer.
Sporting have disclosed they reached an agreement with City on Tuesday, August 6, with a further £3.2m may be coughed out by Primeira Liga club as bonuses if he excels in the English topflight.
Sporting Lisbon took to the social media to wish Correia “all the best personal and professional happiness.”
Interestingly, Correia has not experienced first team football, but will be handed a five-year deal by the Pep Guardiola's tutored-side before going on loan.
At the last count, Correia was among the top performers for Portugal's Under-19s during the European Championships in July, but suffered a 2-0 defeat to Spain in the final.
Correia provided a goal and assist in their 3-0 bashing of Italy and was on top of his game in Portugal U19s' 3-2 win over England U20s at the Toulon Tournament in June.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Manchester City have reportedly slapped a staggering £145 million price tag on star winger Leroy Sane amid Bayern Munich's interest.
The German League champions are hopeful of landing the 23-year-old before the end of this transfer window after the departure of both Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery last season.
