Nigerian politician and senator, Dino Melaye, has lost his mother. He shared the sad news on his social media pages with a condolence message to her.
It is a time of sadness for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) member who lost his mother on May 3, 2019. Melaye shared a touching farewell note to his mother on social media via his Instagram page.
He revealed that his beloved mother, Deconess Comfort Melaye, has passed on to glory. The senator also referred to her as a friend who lived a godly life.

In a subsequent post, the senator added that his aged mother is still alive because she lives in him. He further explained that he finds solace in knowing that they would meet again.
Melaye wrote: "You are still alive because you live in me. I know you will never leave me my dependable mother, sister and best friend. You were more than just a mother. You gave your tomorrow for my today. Mummy the cloud is without form, but I take solace in the fact that we shall see again and we will recognize ourselves. We will hold each other again and laugh. Good mother hen goodnight."
Nigeria's senate president, Bukola Saraki, also took to his Twitter page to react to the sad news.
He sent his heartfelt prayers to Senator Melaye and his household as he asked for God to grant his late mother eternal rest. See his tweet below:
