Mother and her baby narrowly escape death after trailer crashes on car along Mombasa road

- A lady and her baby had just left their car when a trailer crashed on it

- The vehicle was so damaged it was impossible to imagine the occupants would have survived

- It was gathered that the accident took place in Syokimau area, along Mombasa road on Saturday, April 6

A female motorist and her baby have escaped death by a whisker after a truck crashed and badly damaged the car they were traveling in.

The lady whom Legit.ng could not immediately identify had just stepped out of the ill-fated vehicle together with her baby when the gigantic trailer came tumbling down and smashed the small vehicle.

Confirming the bizarre accident which happened at Syokimau area, on Mombasa road, Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko said the mother and her baby had just exited the vehicle to buy a soda at a nearby shop when the trailer smashed their car.

"Wacheni Mungu aitwe Mungu (Let God's name be praised). A lady driver and her baby escape death by a whisker after a trailer 'crash landed' on their car at Syokimau along Mombasa road just moments after getting out of the car to buy a soda," the governor shared on Saturday, April 6.

Looking at the wreckage, people were convinced the occupants of the totally destroyed car would not have survived the crash.

Many termed it a miracle and joined Governor Sonko in thanking God for preventing a potentially tragic loss of lives.
