Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to be unveiled as Manchester United permanent manager at Old Trafford in the forthcoming international break.

The Daily Mail citing Daily Mirror, revealed that Man United eggheads had a change in plan to announce Solskjaer as Mourinho’s replacement at the end of the campaign, but will now make a decision before their next Premier League game.

Solskjaer has improved the fortune of Man United, winning 14 games, drawing two and losing the same number since replacing the Portuguese in interim capacity mid-December.

The 46-year-old Norwegian Solskjaer also guided Man United to a dramatic comeback against Paris Saint-Germain to qualify for the quarter final of the Champions League.

Club legend Gary Neville also confirmed ex-teammate Solskjaer will be unveiled as permanent manager at Old Trafford this March.

“I'll be surprised if Solskjaer is not awarded the job during the international break in the next couple of weeks.

“I can't believe it what's happened. I thought when he first came in it was just to reconnect the club with the fans, the players, keep everyone happy,” Neville added.

Solskjaer also confirmed that he cancelled his contract with Norwegian side Molde to enable him team up last December with Manchester United until June.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is close to being named Man United manager on a permanent basis after PSG defeat in the Champions League.

The Daily Mail claim the 46-year-old Solskjaer will be handed the managerial role at United on a full-time basis, and the big question is when the will the Norwegian be confirmed for the job.

The Red Devils massive Champions League result at Parc des Princes on Wednesday night sealed the job for Solskjaer, who has turned around the club’s fortune since replacing Jose Mourinho as interim manager mid-December.
