7,480 N-Power beneficiaries to be deployed ‎Monday, July 30

- Bauchi state has announced that 7,480 N-Power beneficiaries will be deployed to their various sectors

- The deployment of the beneficiaries was selected by the National Social Investment Office (NSIO) and approved by Governor Mohammed Abubakar

- 5,014 beneficiaries are deployed as tutors, 1,660 as agricultural extension workers while the remaining 806 volunteers are deployed to healthcare facilities

About 7,480 from the 2017 N-Power beneficiaries of Bauchi state will be deployed to their various sectors on Monday, July 30, Daily Trust reports.

Legit.ng gathered that a statement by the media unit of Bauchi State Social Investment Programmes Office (BSSIPO) disclosed that Governor Mohammed Abubakar approved the deployment of the beneficiaries selected by the National Social Investment Office (NSIO).

It added that the state government is committed to a sustainable partnership with the Federal Government.

The statement reads: 5,014 beneficiaries are deployed to Primary schools, Secondary schools and tertiary institutions as tutors. 1,660 others as agricultural extension workers while 806 volunteers are deployed to healthcare facilities to serve as health promoters.

"Meanwhile selected beneficiaries are requested to collect their posting letters, Monday, 30th July 2018 at the secretariats of their various Local Government Areas of residence and report to their places of primary assignments (PPAs).

"However, Payment of August 2018 stipend of N30,000 per head would only be processed for beneficiaries who obtain acknowledgment of reporting to PPAs and upload same to N-Power portal."

It could be recalled that guidelines of the N-Power scheme empowers states government to deploy selected beneficiaries to their areas of needs with specific emphasis to promotion of education, health and agriculture.

Legit.ng previously reported that the Lagos state government says it is not obliged to retain teachers posted to the state under the ongoing N-Power programme of the presidency.

Obafela Bank-Olemoh, special adviser to state governor on education, made the declaration in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday, July 24, in Lagos.

Bank-Olemoh said: “We have made it clear from the very beginning that in the N-Power programme, we are not obliged to employ anybody. They are there and when that programme is finished, they are eased out."
