Nigerians are waiting for PDP, they are tired of APC's lies - Wike

- Governor Nyesom Wike has accused the ruling party of being partial in the fight against corruption in Nigeria

- Wike said the fight against corruption by the APC-led administration is political

- According to the governor, Nigerians are waiting to oust APC out of power by 2019

The governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike, has called on Nigerians to join the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in ousting the ruling All progressives Congress (APC) out of power.

Wike while speaking on an online trending video said the ruling APC is deceitful.

He said that all Nigerians are tired of the "lies and deceit" by the APC since assuming power in 2015.

The governor said: "Nigerians are waiting for PDP because Nigerians are tired of the deceit, Nigerians are tired of lies of this so-called APC. Because once they don't like your face, they say its corruption they are fighting.

"The moment you defect to their party, corruption charges will be dropped but the moment you're not in their party, they are fighting corruption.

"Enough is enough and we must rise up to the occasion and fight the injustice that is going on in this country," Wike said.

Legit.ng earlier reported that the Senator representing Zamfara central senatorial district, Kabiru Marafa has alleged plans by some top politicians to 'knockout' President Muhammadu Buhari out of power in 2019.

Marafa, the chairman of the Senate committee on petroleum said he was tear-gassed during a parallel congress conducted by his camp in Zamfara state.

He said the state government mobilised heavily to prevent an innocent citizen (Senator Marafa) from carrying out his civic responsibility.
