Portuguese club Benfica are reportedly interested in the signing of Super Eagles defender Tyronne Ebuehi who currently plays for Ado Den Haag.

There are even reports that the defender has passed his medical examination at Benfica, but his club and the Portuguese club are yet to confirm the deal.

Ebuehi's contract at Ado Den Haag will expire at the end of the ongoing season, and many clubs are eyeing a move for the player.

English club Norwich City are also said to be interested in Tyronne Ebuehi, but Dutch football magazine Voetbal International reports that the 22-year-old is set to sign for the reigning Portuguese champions this month.

The report also claimed that Ado Den Haag chiefs have offered Tyronne Ebuehi a new deal, but the player has refused to sign a new contract.

Ebuehi has made two appearances for the Super Eagles of Nigeria against Togo and Argentina, and he is part of the players tipped to make Gernot Rohr's final squad to Russia 2018.

He came on as a second half substitute for Shehu Abdullahi in the Super Eagles friendly against Argentina, and he did not disappoint.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Super Eagles of Nigeria on Tuesday night, November 14, 2017 produced astonishing performance as they defeated Argentina 4-2 in an explosive international friendly match played in Russia.

But the Super Eagles had to come back from two goals down to beat the South Americans.
