President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Dakar, Senegal, ahead of the 3rd Dakar International Forum on Peace and Security in Africa on Monday, December 5, 2016.
President Buhari has been welcomed by President Macky Sall of Senegal and other top rancking officials upon his arrival.
The president will attend the peace forum which is convened by the president of Senegal with support from the African Union.
President Buhari along with African leaders and representatives of regional and international organisations will discuss security-related challenges on the continent.
He is also scheduled to participate in the Panel of Heads of State on Tuesday, December 6. The president is expected to be back home in Abuja on December 6-7.
Earlier today, the president has met his Liberian counterpart, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, who briefed the Nigerian president on sub-regional security challenges ahead of the 3rd Dakar International Forum on Peace and Security in Africa.
