World Cup Golden Ball: 10 Nominees Announced

While the majority of the teams have already finished their battle for 2014 FIFA World Cup championship, the world is yet to know the name of the best player of this Mundial.

The most outstanding 10 of footballers, who will contest for the World Cup Golden Ball, has been announced, with James Rodriguez (Colombia), Lionel Messi (Argntina) and Thomas Muller (Germany) leading the nominations, Mirror reports.

Brazil's hero Neymar has also been shortlisted despite having been removed after the quarter-final game because of the back injury. 

Four German players and 3 candidates from Argentina were also selected for the award, while the two teams are yet to play the last match of the tournament on July 13.

Messi has enjoyed his best ever World Cup with four goals and is joined by Albicelestes teammates Angel Di Maria and Javier Mascherano.
