Vicente Del Bosque Wary of Vengeful Italy

Spain boss Vicente Del Bosque insists Italy will be focused on revenge when the two sides meet in their Confederations Cup semi-final.

La Roja booked their place in the knockout stages with a convincing 3-0 win over Nigeria on Sunday, which saw them emerge undefeated from Group B.

A Jordi Alba brace and Fernando Torres' goal sent Nigeria home from the tournament and set up a rematch of Spain's 4-0 rout of Italy in the Euro 2012 final.

Del Bosque will take no chances in his approach to the match and expects the Azzurri to be a changed side 12 months on from the embarrassing defeat in Ukraine.

"Italy will be a very difficult opponent," Del Bosque said. "It is going to be a re-match for them. We want to get to the final though."

Alba netted his first goals of the tournament and heeded his manager's caution heading into the semis.

"The match against Italy is sure to be different from the final of the Euros," he said.

Defender Gerard Pique has urged his team-mates not to think about a potential final against Brazil as Spain attempt to avoid a repeat of their semi-final exit at the 2009 Confederations Cup.

"Let's not talk about a potential final, it happened to us at the last Confederations Cup in 2009 and we lost to the United States in the semi-finals," Pique said. "Let's talk about the game that comes next against Italy.

"It's a totally different match, the tournament is different, the heat is different and they come in [to the game] after a nice tournament so far. They won the first two games and lost to Brazil but they played hard at all times."
