Brazilian superstar Neymar who currently plays for PSG could be making a return to Barcelona as the Catalans are said to be planning to re-sign him as a replacement for Lionel Messi.

Barcelona are said to be aware that Lionel Messi's retirement from football is closer and they see Neymar as the only player who can shine at the Nou Camp in the absence of the Argentine.

According to Spanish outlet Sports, Barcelona chiefs are not ready to rely on Antoine Griezmann, Dembele and Coutinho when Messi leaves, but to bring back Neymar to the club.

The report added that Lionel Messi himself is a big admirer of Neymar and has told him that he would quit Barcelona for him should he make a return.

"In two years, I'm leaving, and you'll be alone, you'll take my place." Messi sent a WhatsApp message to Neymar according to France Football.

Neymar became the most expensive player ever when he moved from Barcelona to PSG last two seasons, but he has been struggling in France since.

There were reports that Neymar even wanted to force a move out of France before the current season started in Europe only for him to stay on at PSG.

Earlier, had reported how Brazilian football legend Rivaldo urged his fellow countryman Neymar to leave Paris-Saint-Germain and also end his partying days.

He left Barcelona two years ago reportedly claiming he was tired playing second fiddle to Lionel Messi at the Nou Camp.
