He added that Natasha’s access to the NASS premises is another evidence that when Nigerians stand together, they can triumph over tyranny.

He stated this in a statement shared via his X handle @atiku on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

“It is reassuring that the voice of reason has prevailed at last with the unsealing of the office of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan. Though the precious time denied the people of Kogi Central in the Senate can never be reclaimed, this struggle has not been in vain. It has proven, once again, that when we stand together, we can triumph over tyranny.”

Atiku also mentioned the suspension of Governor Sim Fubara and other elected officials in Rivers state.

He accused President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of subverting Nigeria’s hard-earned democracy and compromising the will of the people

“The suspension of Governor Simi Fubara and lawmakers of the Rivers State House of Assembly, the unlawful suspension of Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, and the weaponisation of state institutions to harass and intimidate opposition voices are not isolated acts. They are deliberate markers of the Tinubu administration’s strategy as 2027 approaches: to subvert our hard-earned democracy and compromise the will of the people at any cost."

There is no voice of reasoning here sir.
The sealing was lifted because the 6 month suspension had laps.
So they actually actualized their plan.

This is how all of you called Buhari authoritarian during his years as president. Immediately he leave power, you all start praise singer till today. Opposition is always protecting democracy for this country while all of you are the same.

Hard earned democracy indeed, where were you in the struggle sir?
Mind you, senator Natasha served the suspension time fully. So your voice did nothing.
