2027: ADC coalition gains momentum

In June, former minister of transportation Rotimi Amaechi, joined forces with other major opposition leaders, including former vice president Atiku Abubakar, Labour Party’s Peter Obi, and former Kaduna governor Nasir El-Rufai, to form a coalition under the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The alliance is expected to challenge the ruling party in the 2027 general elections.

APC replies El-Rufai's criticism

Legit.ng earlier reported that the APC has expressed confidence that Nigerians will again vote for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Felix Morka, the spokesperson of the party, claimed while responding to the recent criticism of the president by former Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai.

Morka explained that El-Rufai and his cronies in the coalition adopted ADC because they did not have a better alternative to President Tinubu's bold economic policies.
