The situation gained fresh attention after Funke Akindele appeared to ignore Toyin Abraham at the premiere of The Return of Arinzo, held in Lagos.
Iyabo Ojo, who had earlier addressed the tension between the two film stars, has now quietly deleted her statement from Instagram.
A check on Iyabo Ojo’s social media page revealed that her earlier explanation regarding the situation is no longer available.

This comes just hours after she opened up about her long-standing relationship with Funke Akindele and her efforts to mediate peace between both parties.
At the time, her statement offered insight into what many believed was a private industry matter that had spilled into public view.
Before taking down the post, Iyabo had explained that she and Funke had been friends for years, even though their relationship had not been without its own challenges.
She recalled a period when they had disagreements, including a public exchange over Toyin Abraham’s movie.
According to her, she later stepped in to help reconcile Funke and Toyin, and both actresses agreed to move forward under one condition — that they would avoid shading each other publicly and resolve issues privately.
However, Iyabo noted that things took a different turn again in December 2025, when Toyin released a video alleging that some individuals were trying to sabotage her movie in cinemas.
