Portable Blows Hot as He Addresses Lookalike Impersonating Him at Events: “Beat Him if U See Him”

Nigerian singer Portable has warned his fans to be wary of a man who he claims is mimicking him on the live-show circuit, after footage of the lookalike performing the singer's songs surfaced online.

The musician accused the lookalike of collecting show fees and advised fans to beat up anyone they saw purporting to be him, but not to tag or drag him into the mayhem.

Portable's statement on social media was direct and hostile. He advised fans that if a doppelganger is playing his songs or dressing in his style, they should "beat him up," and that people will continue to protest and petition even after the violence.

In his statement, Portable mentioned the lookalike had already been paid up to N250,000 for a concert, which he rejected as considerably below what he claims to command.

He made it plain that he would continue to attend valid engagements, but warned others about imitation and the resulting financial losses.

Portable defended his livelihood, while urging his supporters to protect his brand instead of always calling on him to take action.

In a previous report, the Street pop artist made a video collage to speak about the 2027 election.

The music star, who recently flaunted his children online, stated that he will not be supporting any political party in 2027.

According to him, he will go for the highest bidder and urged different political parties to bring money to him.

Portable added that he is ready to collect money from any party that approaches him. He even mentioned that if Peter Obi is the first to approach him, he would be willing to accept his money.
