Jackie Chan's Son Arrested For Drug

Jackie Chan's Son Arrested For Drug

Jaycee Chan, the son of the Hollywood actor, Jackie Chan has been arrested on drug related charges.

BBC reports that the 31 year old Jaycee Chan was arrested alongside Taiwanese movie star Kai Ko, 23, on Thursday,  with more than 100 grams of the drug. The Beijing police Command made it known that both men tested positive to drug when examined in which over 100grams of the said drug was found in Mr Chan's house.

Beijing police said in a statement on their official micro blog that their arrest came due to an ongoing crackdown on drugs which has already netted several celebrity figures. Although it was made known that the Police are not targeting celebrities, many celebrities have however been found guilty of this act. Gao Hu, 40, who appeared in the 2011 Zhang Yimou film “The Flowers of War”, was detained earlier this month for possession of marijuana and meth amphetamines, state media said.

It would be recalled that Chinese president,  Xi Jinping had in June,  called for “forceful measures” to tackle illegal drug use.
