This season has not been any different, with his agent Mino Raiola claiming the midfielder is unhappy at United.

With United yet to agree on a new deal with Pogba, they risk losing him on a free transfer at the end of next season, a situation which has forced the club to look elsewhere for alternatives.

The three players being penned down to replace Pogba are:

1. Declan Rice

2 Saul Niguez

3. Wilfred Ndidi

It is believed West Ham United star Declan Rice is top on the Manchester club's priority list in their hunt for Pogba's replacement.

United are also thought to be keeping close tabs with Leicester City midfielder Wilfried Ndidi and Atletico Madrid's Saul Niguez.

The development comes just weeks after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed he is keen to have Pogba form part of his long-term plans at Old Trafford. He said:

"I have always said with Paul that I enjoy managing him, I enjoy coaching him, I enjoy talking to him and I also enjoy challenging him because he is a winner.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Manchester United could be slammed with points deduction after their fans invaded Old Trafford minutes before their crunch fixture against Liverpool.

The supporters protested against the owners of the club which led to the postponement of the encounter on Sunday, May 2.

Premier League and the Football Association have now launched an investigation into the mass protest over the weekend. The organisers have asked the Red Devils to find the cause of the chaos.
