Lionel Messi Sensationally Accuses Referee of Trying to get Him Suspended for El Classico

Barcelona captain Lionel Messi blasted the referee Jaime Latre as he sensationally claimed the match official was “desperate to send him off” during the clash against Real Valladolid.
The Argentine maestro might not have scored or assisted in the game, but he put up another masterful performance as his side claimed a narrow 1-0 win over Valladolid to close the gap on league leaders Atletico Madrid.

Ousmanne Dembele scored late in the game to hand the hosts a crucial win at the Nou Camp, but despite the victory, Messi had some tough words for the referee.
According to the 33-year old, Jaime Latre was keen on booking him in a malicious attempt to see him miss the El Classico.
Spanish newspaper Diario AS claims the Barcelona captain was discontent with the ref for an alleged deliberate attempt to see him miss the clash against Real Madrid.
A video of Messi walking down the tunnel after the game has since emerged with the Argentine lamenting in his native language.
Sport quoted Messi saying something to the effect of "he's desperate to show me a card… ufff, incredible.”
Lucky for Messi, he will be eligible to play against Los Blancos as he was able to avoid his fifth booking of the season in the Valladolid game.
The upcoming El Classico will have a different feel to it as neither Real Madrid nor Barcelona are top of the table ahead of the clash this weekend at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano.

Real Madrid are two points behind Barcelona ahead of the clash, while Barca will be desperate for a him to pile more pressure on Atletico Madrid, who suffered a devastating blow following their 1-0 defeat to Sevilla.
