A young man on Twitter, @Sir__md has stunned many on the platform with the huge repayment sum his friend who partook in the CBN COVID-19 loan exercise was told to make.
This is as a Nigerian man, @shuaib_izge tweeted that all who benefited from the CBN loan should endeavour to pay up or face going to prison.
@Sir__md knocked the government for being insensitive and wondered how the government expected his friend to repay a loan at a time businesses were on pause due to the lockdown.
"I don't knw what's wrong Nigeria, NIRSAL gave people loan during Covid-19 lockdown when most of the markets/businesses were closed, ppl used that money to buy foods, 60% of the beneficiaries were not into business, and now they're expecting them to payback N145k per month. Hmmm"

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that the CBN had waived guarantor requirement for the Coronavirus loan.

The CBN had initiated the N50 billion COVID-19 targeted credit facility for households and SMEs to mitigate the harsh economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
