The German midfielder was not registered for both the EPL and the Europa League at the start of the season and it is left to be seen if that will change this mid-term.

Arteta is now willing to send both Joe Willock and Reiss Nelson to Norwich in exchange for the 24-year-old Argentine midfielder.

Metro UK quoting The Independent reports that Buendia showed the quality he was made of in the Premier League last season and has continued his strong form for Norwich in the Championship with seven goals and seven assists in 19 appearances so far this term.

The Emirates Stadium outfit has held initial discussions with Buendia’s agent about the possibility of a deal this month.

And the report claims that Arsenal will give Norwich two players in order to lower their £40 million asking price.

The North Londoners are also looking to trim their squad in the January window, therefore a player-plus-cash deal for the Argentine midfielder would be in order.
