Premier League giants Arsenal are reportedly interested in the signing of Real Madrid midfielder Isco as Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is planning to bolster his squad for January 2020 transfer.

The North London side have been struggling this season in all competitions while has also given manager Mikel Arteta serious pressure.

Arsenal have lacked creativity, with £350,000-a-week midfielder Mesut Ozil frozen out in north London, and Mikel Arteta has his eye on a playmaker ahead of January transfer window.

Isco is rotated heavily at Real Madrid under Zinedine Zidane this season.

According to the report on Mirror UK, Arsenal are hoping to sign the Spaniard on a half-season loan when the window opens in a couple of days.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Folarin Balogun could be departing Arsenal football club as a free agent as reigning Premier League champions Liverpool are keen on making a move for the star.

The youngster who is currently a member of the England U20 team is however eligible to play for the Nigeria national football team as his parents were born in the West African nation.

The 19-year-old was earlier linked with Sheffield United and Brentford as he had been with the Gunners since the age of eight.

It was gathered that there is an ongoing negotiation between the player and Arsenal, but they are yet to reach an agreement despite Mikel Arteta wanting him to stay.

The Athletic's David Ornstein also suggested the starlet favours a move abroad.
