One of the biggest child movie stars the world has ever known, Macaulay Culkin, has just turned 40 years old.
The actor celebrated the huge milestone on Wednesday, August 26, and fans could not get over it.

Culkin started acting at the young age of four and one of his first-ever roles was in a stage production of Bach Babies, according to Metro.
He went on to act in several other TV shows and films but when it came to 1990, the then 10-year-old got his biggest break in the movie Home Alone, which is one of the biggest Christmas movies of all time.

Well, Culkin is now a fully-fledged man and many of his old and new fans went on social media to celebrate him.
He even quipped about it in a hilarious tweet saying: "Hey guys wanna feel old? I'm 40. You're welcome."
Many shared hilarious gifs and snaps of the actor as a kid to express their disbelief with some claiming they had now come to the realisation that they are indeed old.

In Home Alone, which is his most recognised film to date, he played Kevin Mcallister, a kid who was accidentally left at home after his family left for a vacay and he was forced to fight intruders with some hilarious traps.
The movie's success saw him bag several awards including a Golden Globes.
He also stared in the sequel Home Alone 2 in 1992 and went on to act in nearly 10 movies by the end of 1994.

He decided to take a break from acting and came back to the scene in 2003, going on to appear in several movies including Party Monster and The Wrong Ferrari.
In 2019 the actor starred in the movie Changeland alongside his girlfriend Brenda Song.
Culkin is definitely not hanging his boots anytime soon and who knows, might at some point be involved in another Home Alone franchise and play as a parent or even better the villain, lol.
