Ghana is constructing Africa's second 4-tier Pokuase Interchange at a cost of $94 million (N36,237,000,000) in the Ga West Municipality in the Greater Accra Region.

The construction of the Pokuase Interchange and its adjoining town roads is to improve the lives of the people and enhance traffic flow.

Construction of the Pokuase Interchange began after a groundbreaking ceremony in July 2020. The project, which is jointly funded by the African Development and Government of Ghana, is expected to be completed in two years.

In other news, Nigerian traders in Ghana have been mandated by the Ministry of Trades to pay $1m (N385,110,000) fee before they continue with their businesses.

A video has emerged in which a Nigerian trader lamented as his shop was being locked by Ghanaian security officials.

The man said he showed the security officials his business registration certificate and other documents but they still locked his shop.

He said Nigerians in Ghana are suffering, adding that he would not hesitate to sell his goods and return to his country if that is what the Ghanaian authorities want.

Ovation International publisher Dele Momodu and other Nigerians have reacted to the incident, condemning the fee imposed on Nigerian traders in Ghana.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a 33-year-old lady identified as Dr Helana Darwin took to Twitter to express sadness over being unemployed despite having two masters degrees and a PhD.

Dr Darwin said she feels like she went about her 20s all wrong, adding that higher education may be overrated.

She wrote: "How am I 33 with two MAs and a PhD and still so precariously situated on the job market? I feel like I went about my 20s all wrong... maybe-just maybe-higher education is overrated?"
