Veteran musician and activist, Charly Boy, has joined several other Nigerians who have publicly expressed their reservations against the ongoing Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality show and how youths are consumed by it.
The controversial entertainer made his point in a series of posts shared on his official Twitter page on Monday, August 8.
Charly Boy in the post noted that he does not understand Nigerian youths. According to him, activities about housemates garner thousands of reactions on social media.
However, more important issues that concern the country barely generate enough engagement.
Similarly, Charly Boy pointed out that when it comes to voting, youths are more eager to cast BBNaija votes as opposed to being a part of national elections.
The entertainer added that despite the disturbing trend, Nigerians will still conveniently go to bed at night and hope to wake up to a country that they never created.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that BBNaija organizers were forced to apologize to fans of the show following a disturbing take on the relationship between Erica, Kiddwaya and Laycon in an article posted on the Africa Magic website.
The organizers in the article painted Kiddwaya in a bad light by tagging him as a ‘serial flirt’. In a short apology note shared on Twitter, they admitted to getting carried away by their emotions about housemates.
