Nigerians react to unconfirmed reports of Dbanj losing endorsement deal over sexual abuse allegations

Nigerian singer Dbanj has once again become a trending topic on popular social media platform, Twitter, following alleged reports that he has lost a major endorsement deal due to the recent sexual abuse allegations leveled against him by a lady identified as Seyitan Babatayo.

Many who had expressed outrage at the singer for allegedly getting Seyitan detained in a bid to intimidate her, returned to Twitter with speculations about the singer losing an endorsement deal which he signed with a financial institution on the day he celebrated his 40th birthday.

The singer in an interview with entertainment journalist, Joey Akan, had bragged about his deal with the bank being one of the biggest signed by a Nigerian artiste.

Earlier on, popular media personality, Vimbai Mutinhiri, took to her official page on Instagram to disclose that an organization had taken the decision not to engage the singer in any of their activities until he clears his name from the sexual abuse accusations.

Sharing a screenshot of her conversation with the staff, Vimbai said: “We have to allow the wheels of justice to turn, but until then we have to stand in alliance with the process of justice because we don’t know which one of us may need the credibility of that process to fight for us tomorrow...
