Barcelona fans were handed a glimmer of hope after their all-time goalscorer Lionel Messi was spotted doing sprints in the team’s latest training session at the Nou Camp.

From the images shared online, it looks like the 32-year old was making some progress amid fears of a thigh injury.

The La Liga is set to resume in a little over a week’s time and league leaders Barcelona are racing against time to have their talisman in full fitness.

Earlier in the week, Barcelona confirmed Messi suffered a quadriceps injury and therefore could not train normally with the rest of the squad.
