Internet users celebrate grandpa on his 121st birthday (photo)

- A woman took to social media to wish her grandfather a happy 121st birthday

- She also posted a picture of the elderly man looking snazzy and alert in his incredible old age

- At first, Mzansi peeps did not believe the man was truly that old until the lady produced proof

Simangele UmaMkhize Mthethwa took to social media to wish Mkhulu a very happy 121st birthday. She wrote:

"Happy 121st birthday Mkhulu, we love you, Nodlelo."

She went on to post proof of his birth date after a few Mzansi social media users expressed disbelief at his age. Another Facebook user, Justin Eden, said that the man may well be the oldest man in the world:

"If he really is 121 years old, see the below and contact the authorities to make him famous - As of 10 May 2020, the oldest known living person is Kane Tanaka of Japan, aged 117 years, 129 days. The oldest known living man is Robert Weighton, of the United Kingdom, aged 112 years, 42 days."

Sikhumbuzo Mbuthu said:

"I personally know this great old man, he is my neighbour, happy birthday Mkhulu."

In other news, Legit.ng reported that South Africa's oldest man, Fredie Blom, celebrated his 116th birthday on May 8, 2020.

The centenarian who was born on May 8, 1904, in Adelaide, Eastern Cape, is married to Jeanette Blom and does not have any children of his own.

On Friday, Blom turned 116 years old and he had only one wish for his birthday - to have a smoke.

According to Times LIVE, Blom wanted tobacco to roll his own ciggies but he couldn't get any under the current lockdown regulations.
