Jadon Sancho's performance for Dortmund is something that can be compared to Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi's stats when they were 20 years of age.

The 20-year-old has become a summer target for Man United and Chelsea following his impressive numbers for the Bundesliga side.

The former Man City star joined Dortmund in 2019 and has scored 31 goals including 42 assists in 90 matches for the Yellow Canaries.

And Sancho's stats is worthy of note compared to the current best footballers on the planet Ronaldo and Messi.

Ronaldo's three-year spell with Man United before he clocked 20, saw him score 16 goals and created 16 assists.

But Messi's record at 20 is closer to that of the Dortmund striker as the Barcelona captain scored 26 goals with eight assists in 107 matches.

Sancho has been reluctant to discuss his future despite being consistently linked to two of the biggest Premier League clubs.

But Chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke believes the Englishman will remain at the club to help them win titles

"I think he has the feeling that the club does have a good future," Watzke told BBC Sport.

"In my opinion, I don't think he wants to leave.

"We have a very confidential relationship between us and him and his agents. We will discuss it."

"It's not a question of money.

“For us, it would be the best position if he stays at Borussia Dortmund.

"We have enough money. We want to have titles. I think this team has a lot more potential with Jadon than without Jadon."
