Nigerians are known for many things, some of them positive and others negative. One of the negative things some citizens have portrayed to the world include fraud.
Legit.ng has come across the report of a 26-year-old Nigerian woman, Deborah Oguntoyinbo, who was arrested in Canada for fraud related offences.
According to CBC news, Oguntoyinbo who claims to be an actress has stolen the identities of over 20 people in Toronto over the last two years.
The 26-year-old was arrested after she tried to flee a condo in Toronto which she had paid for with the proceeds of fraud.
CBC reports that Oguntoyinbo is currently facing over 50 fraud-related charges in Toronto and other nearby regions.
York regional police Sgt, Andy Patterson, described Oguntoyinbo to CBC as a professional fraudster who is very aware of what she is doing.
Patterson said: “She definitely would be considered a professional fraudster, knows what she's doing and [is] quite prolific. She's really been all over the [Greater Toronto Area],” he added.
In other news, Legit.ng reported that the Church of Satan recently gave a funny reply to a Nigerian man who wanted to join Illuminati to become rich.
The man, Olamilekan (@Alongeh2) on Twitter, had asked the church how to join Illuminati because he wants to become rich.
The Church of Satan then schooled Lekan on the meaning of Illuminati and advised that he reads a book if he wants to become rich.
