The most beautiful woman in the world following science research into what constitutes “perfect face” has been announced.
American supermodel Isabella Khair Hadid, popularly known as Bella Hadid, emerged top on Monday, October 14, beating her fellow American singer Beyonce Knowles Carter to second place.
The ranking was measured, according to the ancient Greek golden ratio equation of beauty phi which was designed to measure physical perfection.
According to Metro.co.uk, the golden ratio determined Hadid’s features to be 94.35% “accurate” on a scale of 100%.
“Bella Hadid was the clear winner when all elements of the face were measured for physical perfection,” said De Silva, a doctor who runs the Centre for Advanced Facial Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery in London.
The supermodel’s eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, chin, jaw and facial shape were measured and came closest to the ancient Greeks' idea of perfection.
Beyonce came close second with 92.44% ahead of Amber Heard, Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift.
Kate Moss was sixth, while Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman, Katy Perry and Cara Delevingne rounding out the top 10.
The mathematical formula used to explain beauty originated from the European renaissance where artists and architects used an equation known as the golden ratio as an aid during their masterpieces.
The formula takes measurements from the forehead hairline to the spot between the eyes, and from the bottom of the nose to the bottom of the chin.
The length and the width of someone's face is measured and then the results are divided. A person is considered to be more beautiful if the numbers are equal.
Meanwhile, African designer, Rebecca Zoro, has achieved a milestone in her creative design as Beyonce wore her piece of clothing.
Rebecca is the owner of Yhebe Design. In an inspiring grass-to-glory story, she said she started the company with just a single sewing machine.
