Barcelona vs Inter Milan: Suarez scores brace as La Blaugrana defeat Nerazzurri 2-1

Barcelona vs Inter ended 2-1 in favour of the Spanish giants as they came from a goal down to defeat Antonio Conte's men.

Lautaro Martinez scored an early goal but Luis Suarez's second half brace gave the home team all three points in Group F.

With two minutes played, Martinez was put through by Alexis Sanchez and the Argentine did well as his shot beat Marc Ter Stegen to make it 1-0.

Inter were on the back foot as the hosts piled up the pressure but could not find the opening in the Nerazzurri's defence.

But Conte's men created the better chances on goal with Nicolo Barella asking questions in the 32nd minute with a header.

Martinez also forced a magnificent save from Ter Stegen with a point-blank header from Antonio Candreva's cross but it stayed 1-0 at half time.

Inter would have to pay for their missed chances in the first half as Luis Suarez swung in an acrobatic volley in the 58th minute to make it 1-1.

Barcelona then turned up the heat after the goal as substitute Ousmane Dembele nearly put them in front with a screamer but his shot went just over the crossbar.

But it was Messi who had a hand in Suarez's second goal in the 84th minute, as the Uruguayan beat his marker and made no mistake as it ended 2-1.
