Exclusive: Child model Jare Ijalana wins African Child Fashion Personality Award in Ghana

Nigerian child model Jare Ijalana who was famed as the Most Beautiful Girl in the World by Yahoo Lifestyle in 2018 has done it again.

The 6-year-old beautiful girl who is the first black and African to earn such title was invited to the Child Summit and Awards that was held at the British Council Auditorium in Accra, Ghana, with the theme: Strengthening Child Protection Systems in Africa on Saturday, September 7, 2019.

Jare won awards under the categories of the bravest and most daring, as well as the most strategically sound and forward-looking African child with measurable achievement in the entertainment industry as a fashion icon/model of repute.

The Child Summit and Awards is an annual event that celebrates and give proper recognition through the conferment of awards of excellence to African children under the ages of 17.

The children are those with exceptional abilities, outstanding bravery and those who have inspired other children with their remarkable and measurable achievements in various fields like arts, entertainment, technology, sport, academics etc.

The award which was put together by the Pan African leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (PALEDEC), a community-focused leadership, social entrepreneurship and capacity development charitable institution gave awards to 21 African children under 17 years from 11 countries in their 2019 edition.

The event is also committed to increasing public awareness of all forms of abuse against children, develop activities to prevent such abuses through a summit aimed at identifying the barriers to issues affecting children in Africa and providing a holistic and multi-dimensional approach to sustainable solutions to the problems.

The child summit has awarded more than 30 outstanding children.
