Nigerian celebrity designer denies maltreating her house help, shares videos

- Nigerian celebrity designer, Anjy Luminee, has taken to social media to refute the claims that she maltreats her housemaid

- This is coming after a video surfaced online showing her maid kneeling down with her hands up in the sun outside her house

- In a video which she posted to her Instagram page, she explained what actually led to her punishment, claiming she wasn't responsible

Social media was thrown into outrage recently, after a video of Nigerian designer, Anjy Luminee Couture's maid kneeling outside, surfaced online. Many people accused her of maltreating her housemaid.

Following the criticisms, the designer has taken to social media to share her own side of the story, refuting claims that she maltreats her maids. According to her, it was her uncle and not her (Luminee) that made the girl kneel in the sun. She went on to state that it is not in her character to treat anyone badly.

She wrote: "It has come to my notice that a post was made about myself and the Luminee brand about an unfair treatment of my assistant who was was instructed to kneel outside my house. First of all, I will like to let everyone know that I wasn't the one who told her to kneel outside, under the sun.

"Secondly, she was punished by her uncle who introduced her to me because of integrity issue; please watch the video to the end.I always treat my workers like family members; we hangout, take pictures and do a lot together and I will never ask any one of them to kneel in the sun. Even if they offend me badly, I will rather punish them like I can punish my own daughter - Anjy.

"Those who know me closely know that it is not in my character to treat anyone badly because I know where I'm coming from and I have never forgotten that for once. Olorun koni jeka ri alakoba oooo! One love my people❤❤❤❤"

Perhaps to serve as more proof, the celebrity designers shared a series of photos and videos of herself with the ladies, having fun together.

In the second video, the helps are seen speaking good things about her, stating in clear terms that she has never treated them badly, instead she takes them as her daughters.

Meanwhile, a Nigerian man identified as Chidi Okereke has taken to social media to narrate the sad story of a house-help who robs and blackmails her employers. The man explained that the house-help connived with a criminal gan to commit the crime.

The man, who narrated the sad story on Twitter, revealed that the house-help and her gang plan the attack and send the lady into the house of a family to work as a domestic worker.
