Burna Boy reacts to his mom receiving his BET award on his behalf

Nigerian musician Burna Boy recently clinched a BET Award for himself. In spite of stiff competition, he won the Best International Act category. Many Nigerians expressed happiness at his win but they could not help but complain about his mom being the one to collect the award on his behalf despite the fact that he was present at the ceremony.

Burna Boy recently reacted to the complaint and fumes from Nigerians about his absence on the big stage when he was announced the winner of the category. The singer said that he would have actually collected the award but he had to 'go get a drink'.

The singer particularly said this in reaction to a fan of his who asked him how many awards his mom was going to collect on his behalf. His statement was coated with hilarious emojis.

However, not many found Burna Boy's statement funny as they did not think his reason was justifiable or good enough. In light of this, they have reacted to his words with yet more complaints and praises too.
