- Neil Warnock was not ready to accept linesman excuse after the match

Chelsea winger Willian has been faulted for obstructing the linesman's view which led to the Blues late offside leveler against Cardiff.

According to UK Sun, images have revealed that the 30 year-old- Brazilian, was standing between the action spot and the assistant referee's view.

And the leveler in the 84 minutes pushed Chelsea to go on to claim a 2-1 win.

But Cardiff fans are furious over the decision to award the leveler, with goalscorer Cesar Azpilicueta and Ruben Loftus-Cheek spotted in offside positions leading to Chelsea’s first goal.

Interestingly, the defeat could see Cardiff suffer over a £100m in revenue, if they are relegated from the English topflight.

Reacting after the match, Cardiff boss, who was short of words after the match, was furious at the match referee Craig Pawson and his assistant.

"I don't know what Mike Riley [PGMOL general manager] does with the linesman, if you can't see straight across the line.

"I spoke to the officials and they feel as bad as I did.

"He said that Willian blocked his view.

"Surely you can see either side that he was two yards offside.

"It is similar to when we played Watford. Little things, we don't get major decisions I'm afraid."

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Chelsea survived a major scare to secure a 2-1 win against Cardiff City on Sunday, March 31, in the Premier League.

The Blues conceded after 52 seconds in the second half through Víctor Camarasa who grabbed his fifth goal of the season for Cardiff City.

The goal came after Harry Arter delivered a cross as Víctor Camarasa guided the ball into the back of the net to hand the hosts a lead.

It was the first time Camarasa has scored five goals across all competitions in a single season. The Spanish midfielder who is on loan from Real Betis has scored against Arsenal, Man United and Chelsea this season as well as Leicester and West Ham.
