There was mild drama at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) branch in Dugbe, Ibadan, Oyo state on Wednesday, February 20, as Form EC8B of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) meant for Kano, surprisingly found its way to the south-west state.

Legit.ng gathers that while sorting of the materials was ongoing at the CBN premises around 5:30pm, a group of INEC officials, including ad hoc ones, suddenly raised an alarm.

A woman held up the form and the officials were reportedly heard exclaiming: “Eh! For Kano… noted.”

The form was subsequently taken to an INEC official who documented it in a register.

A senior official of the commission supervising the sorting was asked how the matter would be handled.

The official reportedly replied: “We will give it to the CBN to return it to Kano state as soon as possible."

The official further stated that there had been no other discoveries as such and that as soon as the sorting was over, the sensitive materials would be dispatched to different local government areas of the state.
