Nigeria in safe hands under President Buhari - Kebbi governor
- The governor of Kebbi state, Atiku Bagudu has spoken on President Buhari's administration
- Bagudu said the president and his vice Yemi Osinbajo have succeeded in handling the affairs of the nation
- The governor said he is confident that APC will emerge victorious in the July 14 governorship polls in Ekiti state
The governor of Kebbi state, Atiku Bagudu said the country is in safe hands of president Muhammadu Buhari and vice president Yemi Osinbajo because they have succeeded in handling the affairs of Nigeria.
Channel TV reports that governor Bagudu made this known on Tuesday, June 19, during the Ekiti state governorship campaign of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
He said: “Nigeria in the last three years has been in very safe hands of President Muhammadu Buhari and Professor Yemi Osinbajo.”

Bagudu, who stormed Ekiti state along with professor Osinbajo and other APC governors as well as leaders to rally support for a former governor of the state, Kayode Fayemi, said he is confident his party will emerge victorious in the July 14 governorship polls in the state.
Bagudu who maintained that victory in Ekiti is important as the APC already controls the other south west states, urged the people of Ekiti state to come out in large numbers and vote for Fayemi.

He said: “I join all my brothers when they say ‘Kogi state, APC; Ondo state, APC; Oyo state, APC; Kwara state, APC; Ogun state, APC; Lagos state, APC; Kebbi state, APC; Edo state, APC; Osun state, APC; Ekiti state, APC. By God’s grace, Ekiti state will join the APC states by July 14.”
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that chairman of the APC in Ekiti state, Jide Awe, said the governorship candidate of the party in July election, Kayode Fayemi is not interested in taking Ekiti by force, rather his strong credentials of performances will make him win under a free and fair atmosphere.
Awe made this known in Erinjiyan Ekiti at a reception held in his honour by the people of the town after three years in exile due to allegations of murder, for which he was charged to court by the Ekiti state government.
