6 teams Lionel Messi has never scored against in the Champions League
On Tuesday night, February 20, Barcelona star Lionel Messi registered his name in the history books after scoring his first goal against reigning Premier League champions Chelsea.
His goal in the second half helped Barcelona to leave Stamford Bridge with a vital point heading to the second leg fixture at the Nou Camp.
However, there are only six holdouts remaining out of the 37 opponents Lionel Messi has faced in the Champions League.
Liverpool are now the only English side still to deny the all-time great.
Atletico Madrid, Benfica, Inter Milan, Rubin Kazan and Udinese join Liverpool, but some have had to keep him quiet for longer.
1. Atletico Madrid - 360 minutes
Atletico Madrid are the closest side to matching Chelsea's record after holding Messi out four times in Europe.
In 2014, the capital club won 1-0 in their quarter-final first-leg and progressed with a 1-1 draw in the return in which they gave Messi no chance to score.
2. Liverpool - 180 minutes
In the 2007 UEFA Champions League knock out stage, Liverpool were beaten 1-0 by Barcelona at Anfield in the first leg, but the Reds recorded an incedible 2-1 win over the Catalans in the second in which Messi failed to net.
3. Benfica - 122 minutes
Portuguese giants Benfica have faced Lionel Messi two times which was in their Champions League group campaign in 2012-2013 season.
A superb away draw saw nobody get on the score sheet and while Barcelona won 2-0 at home, it was Alexis Sanchez and Cesc Fabregas that got the goals.
4. Rubin Kazan - 237 minutes
Russian giants Rubin Kazan have never lost at home to Barca in two attempts as a stalemate in 2009 and a 1-1 draw a year later with David Villa netting for the visitors.
Rubin beat Pep Guardiola's side away in 2009 with Zlatan Ibrahimovic's strike trumped by by Aleksandr Ryazantsev and Gokdeniz Karadeniz' goals.

5. Inter Milan - 270 minutes
Portuguese and current Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho played Barcelona four times en route to the Champions League title in 2010 with Inter Milan which began with a 0-0 draw at the San Siro in Inter's group.
Messi failed to net in that clash and was an unused sub as Pedro scored both goals in a 2-0 Nou Camp win.
Inter Milan's revenge came in the quarter-finals where Messi was again goalless in a 3-1 first-leg defeat.
The Italian side did a brilliant job at containing the Catalans away and Gerard Pique's late effort was not enough for his side.
6. Udinese - 70 minutes
In the Champions League group stage in 2006, Lionel Messi missed Barcelona's 2-0 win over Udinese in Italy, but the Argentine played in the return leg and failed to score as Barcelona won 4-1.
