UNGA: Buhari meets with Ghanaian president Nana Akufo-Addo
- President Muhammadu Buhari and President Nana Akufo-Addo, have met on the sidelines of the ongoing UN General Assembly
- The minister of foreign affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, and the national security adviser, Babagana Monguno, were also present at the meeting
- The presidency has not yet provided details of what was discussed at the meeting
President Muhammadu Buhari met with his Ghanaian counterpart, Nana Akufo-Addo, on the sidelines of the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The development was made public by the president’s special adviser on media and publicity, Femi Adesina.

Legit.ng gathers that the meeting took place on Wednesday, September 20.
Also present at the meeting, were Geoffrey Onyeama, minister of foreign affairs; and Babagana Monguno, National Security Adviser.
Details of the meeting have not yet been disclosed.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that President Muhammadu Buhari held a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, with King Abdullah 11 of Jordan, on Tuesday, September 19.
The president thanked the leader of the Hashemite Kingdom, for supporting Nigeria’s campaign against terrorism and insurgency with the donation of military hardware and a pledge to further supply helicopters.
