7 things you should know about 75 hours praise in honour of Pastor Adeboye (Photos)
This year’s edition of the annual Marathon Messiah’s Praise which is the world’s longest annual non-stop gospel musical event has commenced.

The 75-hour marathon praise is in honour of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye who clocks 75 years on March 2.
It started at 12pm on Monday, February 27 and will end on Thursday, March 2.
The programme was specially packaged to express gratitude to God for His mercies upon the life of Pastor Adeboye.

Here is what you should know about the programme.
1. Marathon Messiah’s Praise is a programme of the National Young Adults and Youth Affairs of RCCG.

2. It was birthed in 2012 and started as 70 Hours Marathon Messiah’s Praise. In the years that followed, it grew to 71 hours, 72 hours, 73 hours and last year 74 hours.

3. This is the sixth edition of the yearly festival which was conceptualised to mark the birthday of Adeboye.

4. The theme of this year’s edition is: “The Sovereign God,” which was borne out of the many amazing testimonies that perfectly describe Pastor Adeboye’s life as what God and only God alone can do.

5. Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, saxophonist, televangelist and Director of Music with the RCCG, Pastor Kunle Ajayi, will be leading over 140 worship leaders who will be leading millions of worshippers across the globe to perform at this year’s edition.

6. It is ongoing in eight countries which are Nigeria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, South Africa, Dubai, UK, and the USA.

7. The main stage will be at the Youth Centre in Redemption Camp, Nigeria, while other stages outside Nigeria will be satellite stages.
