Manchester United's Alexander Buttner believes United will defeat Champions Bayern come the second leg in Munich and reach the UEFA Champions League semi finals.
Buttner had put in a great show against country man Arjen Robben and feels that they have enough confident to get the desired result.
Bayern had the game in control but was stunned when Nemanja Vidic nodded in Wayne Rooney’s 58th minute corner.
The Bayern team however strung some passes together and got the equalizer through Bastian Schweinsteiger nine minutes later.
Buttner told Sky:“Of course we can do it. We always believe in ourselves. We had chances to score more goals and we have to focus on that. Defensively, we did well, we didn’t give a lot away, just a goal, and I think we have a good chance.
“It was nice to play. For me it was my first big game and I think I did well. We know they can play good football and for myself I defended well against one of the best wingers. It’s good to play a good game.”
On his alleged handling of the ball in the penalty area he said: ”I kept my arms together and didn’t do it on purpose. I couldn’t have done it any other way,”.
