The match was scheduled for Sunday, September 21, but it was postponed due to adverse weather conditions, causing scheduling issues for Paris Saint-Germain.

According to Goal, according to LFP rules, any postponed match in France must be played on the second day, forcing the league body's hands.

As noted by L’Equipe, LFP and PSG attempted to schedule it for a later date, but Marseille threatened their rival and the league board with lawsuits for wanting to go against the rule.

As a result, the club with the most nominees will now be forced to miss an award ceremony happening in their city because their rivals refused to be gracious.
