Liverpool currently occupy third place with 17 points after eight rounds of matches, two points off Leicester City who sit top.

The Reds missed out on a glorious chance to go to the of the charts following their 1-1 draw against Man City on Sunday, November 8, at Etihad Stadium.

Despite the disappointing result, Keane believes the Merseyside club are the title favourites.

According to the United legend, Jürgen Klopp's men have shown intent to recapture the domestic crown for the second consecutive season.

"We know about Liverpool’s quality, but I look at the body language and mind-set and hunger of teams who have won the league, and I see that so much in this Liverpool team," Metro UK quoted Keane saying.
"I still think it’s going to take a lot to stop this team. I know they’re not at their best, they’re grinding out results," he continued.

The reigning champions are scheduled to take on league leaders Leicester on Saturday, November 21, after the international break.

The result will potentially determine who takes the top slot on the summit after match week nine.

Earlier, reported that Roy Keane has slammed Manchester City defender Kyle Walker for his tackle on Sadio Mane which gave Liverpool a penalty in a Premier League tie.
